Misleading title is misleading, I’m sitting at work wondering (like every week that this happens) what I should do with my life as soon as I leave the office.
On one hand, I can go home, rest, relax and recover, maybe chill and play a little COD; but on the other hand, I’m dying to hit the gym. I mean, I already hit the gym and completed my “week” of leg day, chest, back, delts. But what could I possibly hit on a “rest day?” Well, there is a lot… One thing could be cardio, while another could be some active recovery work consisting of foam rolling, and self-inflicted ART. These two things are great, but I can do this at home.
Queue in a second squat session of the week. I already deadlifted twice this week, might as well throw in an extra squat day. It may go a little something like this:
10 minute jog: warm-up followed by some quick stretch/mobility work followed by some heavy metal and mental preparation.
Back Squats: 5×10
Front Squats: 5×8
Stiff-legged romanian deadlifts (with calves against a box): 5×6-8
Good Morning: 4×8-10
Bulgarian Lunges: 4×10-12
Weighted pull-ups (just to build my strength here…): 5×2-3
Calves: TBD
20 minutes spent on the stairmaster
Foam roll, ART work
Post workout meal
????
Profit
This is all just a thought though. I may film this, since I want to start posting my workouts on youtube as well, in hopes that I can help some people out. This isn’t a HEAVY LEG DAY, this is a “rest and recovery” day. π
